TOURNAMENT RULES
Home team will wear White. Some teams only have dark. Please consult with the other team to make sure there is no color conflict.
Period Length. All games have 3 Minute warmup.
a. Squirts, 10u Girls play 3 – 12-minute stop time periods.
b. Peewees, 12u Girls play 3 – 13-minute stop time periods.
c. Bantams, Midgets, 14u, 16u, 19u Girls play 3- 14-minute stop time periods.
7 goal lead in 2nd period or 5 goal lead in 3rd period will result in run time for the rest of the game. Stop time will resume if score is withing 2 goals.
Games with 20 or more penalties may result to running time for the rest of the game.
Each team should be ready to play 15 minutes PRIOR to their scheduled start times without any advanced warning.
A forfeited game result will be 6-0 for the winning team and 0–6 result to the losing team. All games are capped at a difference of 6. Example: 8-0 will be posted 6-0.
All eligible players must be entered on the score sheet.
A team that does not present itself to a game will be subjected to a disciplinary committee and subject to expulsion from the tournament.
Should an “act of god” happen (power failure, major injury ...), after 45 minutes the game will be called, and the score remain as is no matter how long the game was running at the time of the “act of god”.
Each team is permitted the use of one, 30-second timeout in the Semi Finals and Finals games only. No timeouts in the round robin or consolation games will be allowed.
Overtime: Played only in semi-final or championship games. There will be one 5-minute Run time overtime played 4 on 4. If a team is serving a penalty at the end of regulation, the remainder of that penalty will be served in overtime playing 4 on 3. If such team is short 2 players at the end of regulation, the remainder of each penalty will be served in overtime playing 5 on 3. O.T. Penalties will be played stop time! Once both penalties expire and after the next whistle, play will resume 4 on 4. After that, a 3-player shoot-out will determine a winner. After that, a sudden death shoot-out will determine the winner. All players must shoot once before any player shoots again. Home team will get the choice to shoot first or concede the first shot to the Away team.
Every team must dress a minimum of 6 players and 1 goaltender.
Bench Officials: Only four (4) people other than dressed players will be allowed on the team bench. All persons on the bench must be listed on the roster and be carded coaches.
Any player receiving a game misconduct is removed from the current game plus one more game. There will be NO discussion regarding eliminating the following game. Referee’s calls are final.
The ice will be resurfaced after every game.
Points to determine finalists: In the divisional round robin - 2 points will be awarded for game won, 1 point for a game tie, 0 points for a game loss.
The committee reserves itself the final word on the interpretation of the rules.
Tie Breakers - If 2 teams are tied in points, the following order applies to determine the ranking of teams:
a. Wins
b. Head-to-Head
c. Best Goal Quotient Formula (Goals for / (Goals for + Goals against).
d Goal against.
e. Coin flip.
In the case where more than 2 teams are tied in points, the following order applies to determine the ranking of teams: (The tied teams will go through each tie breaker until ONE team is determined the winner; Example-if no team is determined ahead of all other teams after Tie Breaker #1, then it will move on to Tie Breaker #2, etc.). Once the tie breaker is broken the remaining teams will start the tie breaker process over from the start (may go back to two team tiebreaker).

b. Head-to-Head (only if one team has defeated all teams in tie breaker).
c. Best differential (Formula = Goals for / (Goals for + Goals against).
d. Goal against.
